When I can’t sleep I think of everything I did that day, last week, last year, everything I need to do tomorrow that I didn’t do that day, last week, last year, etc. And that’s why I can’t sleep to begin with. Then I take a tylenol pm and pop off in 20 minutes. Drugs. Give me drugs. But not what Michael Jackson used to sleep.

We have bats here too. Oh, I’m reminded of that children’s book “Stellaluna.” Loved it!

John told me bats are protected in Britain. You can’t clear them out of attics, etc. At least in Wales.

When I can’t sleep, I make up a story for myself to walk inside. Sometimes they unfurl for a while; a nighttime novel of sorts.

That was a lovely post. I love little facts like that. And I love the idea that everyone says their plane was hit by a bat and no one questions the logic!

When I can’t sleep I try not to think. I imagine floating and try to clear my head of everything else.

I usually do relaxation exercises or turn the tv to a channel like discovery or science, with informative shows. I like these shows, and I can listen with eyes shut. Nearly always fall asleep no matter how interesting they are.

That ‘mammal strike’ paperwork avoidance is a clever bit of business one could use in a story.
